An accident involving multiple vehicles early Sunday morning , July 28, 2019, tragically claimed the life of one person and injured many others.

As reported by Fox5Atlanta.com, "[t]he crash happened near the interstate's exit to Mount Zion Boulevard early Sunday morning around 5:30."

Per the report, 11 cars were involved in the accident.

Clayton County police confirmed one fatality and other victims were transported to the hospital due to injuries, according to the report.

The investigation is ongoing.
